I just wanted to post and tell everyone how amazed I am at how much I have learned watching Riven Phoenix's videos on how to draw the human body from your mind.

I started watching the other day and for now I have been concentrating on the human skull. The amount of detail he gets into is unbelievable. I have never seen a more detailed video tutorial series. I have been sitting and doing the exercises along with him in the videos and I can actually watch myself get better and better as I do more and more drawings of the skull.

So far I haven't gone very far into the series, but I am simply blown away at the amount of detail that he shows you.

For those of you looking for figure drawing tutorials or just a great study of the human body, this is one of THE best video series on the human body I have ever seen. He goes into so much detail that you will be able to draw every single bone and muscle from your mind. I believe he has numerous DVD's available for download on his website. The first DVD starts you off with the basics and has about 70 hours worth of lessons. 70 hours! I started to flip through some of the future lessons and was shocked at what he teaches you later on.

I would highly suggest that anyone trying to draw human beings go pick up these lessons. They are amazing! I was never really interested in drawing the human body, but decided to start learning. So, I got myself a couple of sketchbooks and started to draw along with him and his lessons. The way he teaches you to draw will stick with you and teach your mind to look at the human body in such a way that you will be able to draw it without any references at all, completely from your mind.

Just thought I would pass along this info for anyone interested, and I hope that at least some of you take a look. The first DVD is $65 and the following DVD's are $45 I believe. WELL worth every single red cent. Give them a shot! You won't regret it!
