How can i find a honest art auction house

Hello i finished a large oil painting about the deep sea .i would like to find a reliable honest art auction house to handle the sale.please let me know if any of you great artists have dealt successfully with a art auction house in america.thank you and good luck! Spikemansteel

Any good auction house will take your work, if you pay the sellers fee which is 20 percent of the price and possibly marketing fees depending on their appraisal of th ework. Christies, Heritage, Sotheby's, Bonham's, all are reputable and deal with thousands of sales worth millions of dollars a year.
Of course none of these places can help you if you don't have a track record of public sales and there isn't an established market for your work.
