just a thread to vent out ideas on what makes a good crit, and how we define what a good crit is.
the goal of a crit? or the best manner to present it.
i think it would be good to hear peoples opinion about all this as everyone has a method to thier madness.
hear is what i believe taken from something ive posted earlier.
"now dont get me wrong i understand that theres no use in sugercoating a crit because well thats just unhelpful if not detrimental to an artist.
However if your crit is so negative that it causes the artist to become defensive, then that also is unhelpful
giving a good crit is not about pointing out everthing thats wrong with a work of art, its also a way to point out the good in a work of art. A subtle balance must be met or else no one learns anything."
what do u guys think?
