I really cant seem to get smooth lines when I'm drawing in PS 7, and I can use a little help with it. I DO use the smoothing option, but my hand is very shaky as is, so I still dont get much in the way of satisfactory results.

Do most of you draw in really huge resolution or what? When you're drawing lineart, what res and what line thickness do you use? Brush or pencil tool?

Just looking for some advice to really make the most of my tablet. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i work really large ..... the cool part of digital art is that you can edit so i would sugest drawing you curve and the mothing it out by using the eraser or selection tools

Thanks for the replies...I had just about given up on this thread. :)

I'm running a AMD 950mhz with 640MB RAM. Even so, it gets a little slow at times when drawing in very high res.

I'm using a wacom graphire. I've started working with a 3000x3000 canvas in 300dpi, which helps gives my lines a bit more smoothness, but still not as much as I would like. I do use the technique of smoothing out my lines with the eraser tool, but that affects my line weights in places I would prefer them to be even.

Thanks for taking the time!

if the eraser is not working for you try doing it with selection tools and deleting that way......
