talos, this is really GREAT!

Just two things:

1. Maybe it would look better, if this guys colours were different than this overall blue...

2. the url text at the pic on the lower left...there is a "," instead of a ".". Don't know if this was your intention, like a typographical design gimmick...

Again awesome pic, i love the composition, the drawing, the idea, the design...;)

Like the idea, would fit to me - but there´s a Wacom missing ;).

My first post at conceptart.org. Hello all. Hope to be here for a long time and become as skilled as the masters are.

talos: great work! and i would give the guy another color as well, as Fozzybar mentioned.

Fozzybar: I like your work in general as well. Just a compliment.

Fipse: A Wacom doesn't need to be expensive! They released a relatively cheap model called the "Volito" for beginners. But I happen to have a look at my university's newsgroups and found a Graphire2 for less than a new Volito. So I can start developing the left half of my brain a little more now. :)

??? Dorfmeister...i hope you don't take me for someone else, because i have just 5-6 pics posted here at ca (3 in td#3)...anyway thank you!

talos, at the second look i spotted some sketch-lines...at the 3 yellow lines on the legs for example...maybe you can clean up a little bit...wow...really cool rendering again...i can't help :D

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback.

Well, I went back to photoshop and used the hugh/saturation option and tweaked the base color a bit (don't think a warm color would work as well)...knocked it more towards a dark greenish color. Did some cleaning of line too. See what you think?

p.s. this guy doesn't need a wacom to draw...his brain is hooked up to the processor directly and tells the computer where to put the pixels...:D

hmm, yes, as far as i can see, this is a better color. more metal-like.
what are the lines called, to aid you in drawing in perspective? well, i am fond of those lines in a drawing like this. gives it more of a 'designing' look. what's anyone else's idea about this? let me hear..

That is sha-weet! I wish my desk looked like that. Then I could walk around outside while I was working and get some sun. Excellent illustration and great line work. I prefer the new color scheme, BTW.

Keep on posting!

Just went cruising through your website--more cool stuff! Great creature designs.

And props to you for having mercy on us 56K lowlifes by using small images.

Great stuff! Post more!

See you around the 310, yo

Thanks Hudnut...really appreciate the compliments. I too really like your work, especially the ship and vehicle along with the characters. The Elven Warrior piece is great-- nice mood. I will be posting more stuff ASAP.

Ya, thanks to my webdesign buddy for helping putting together my site. I specially told him to keep it neat and simple. I hate sites where you need a roadmap to navigate through.

Go 310!

I know you probably don't want to work on this anymore, but...

The color adjustment was a step int eh right direction. But I'd say you need one or two more. The picture breaks down into blue, teal, and the background.

I think you should just go in really quick and grab a hunk of metal or whatever, then adjust the hue/sat a few points left or right. Then keep grabbing different parts and giving them ever-so-slight adustments to break up the blue color blob. And maybe desaturate the BG a bit.

You could do all this faster than it will take to read the rest of my stupid post, and I'd bet you'd like the results.

:chug:

Great picture! I think the guy at campus tech has that chair, but his is leather...
