Pricing of Avg Concept Artist

I've just recently entered the realm of a concept artist in the animation and gaming industry. I'd like to know what the current average going rate is for a freelance concept artist.

Just want to make sure i'm not getting jipped.

Dude, im not a concept artist, but im working towards workin freelance in illustration. Just work out your yearly expenses etc, and break it down per month. Then work out how much you need to break even every month, and make an hourly rate out of it. And I mean everthing like food/groceries/pub etc.

Hope that is of some use to you! :) I can give u more info if needed, cos i got a SHITLOAD of info about pricing artork etc.
