Artists Wanted
I'll make this as short as possible, so as not to waste much of your time.
A team and I have created a Game and now we are trying to get it to market/published...it is a hybrid gaming system and pretty innovative so I have to keep the details quiet for now since these places a rampant with lurkers.
As the creator of the game, the team is at the stage now where we need a few artists so we can finalize the rule book, army books, and characters. Basically, it’s pretty much the whole look and feel of the game product that we need to get conveyed. I need the imagery in order to pitch the game to a publishing house since a picture is worth a 1000 words…the art is very important to the sales pitch.
Here is what I need (sort of a wish list)
1. We need sequential comic book style work done. We would like the look and feel to be like Spawn style. Sort of dark and gothic
2. You must be able to do concept drawings that contain 2-3 three different head variations, 2-3 different weapons and possibly 2-3 different poses. Sort of like how a mechanical Draftsman divides his sheet of paper into 3 sections.
3. The world setting is a hypothetical future earth so we are going to need someone that can draw Mecha’s (like battle-tech), futuristic combat suits, futuristic troop transports (air and ground), and futuristic combat tanks and so on. This needs to be done for a human race and an alien/demon race.
4. A 3ds max computer modeler needs to be able to use the concepts and pictures (the theme) to produce 3D rendered models AND animated models. So the concepts are being done so that another artist can create from them.
5. Finally…detailed work for the Games Box cover and rulebook covers also need to be done. Detailed work in the form of massive battle scenes where 10’s of thousands are battling it out supported by the various larger equipment items.
We can't provide you with funds right now so you would be basically helping us out for free (of course your name will go on all our printed stuff and on our website) until we can get this thing sold and launched to market. Then we can work out any deals at that time. Eventually we would like to offer part ownership to 1 or 2 of our best lead artists.
Just to let you know...our current team has just been accepted into the finals (15 out of 45) for the University of California, Irvine business plan competition. So our idea and business plan are very solid and we plan to start shopping this around shortly.
Please e-mail responses to kdavis04@gsm.uci.edu
Also have some of you previous work readily available for us to look at.
Thank you for your time and best regards.
