I like the gritty textured style, but the character is almost lost in it and I find it hard to see what is actually going on. Now, this may the effect you're going for, but personally I'd like to see a little more definition to the character.

yeah i know what you mean - - he's supposed to be incased in an ancient statue- dun worry you'l know what is going on when the first few pages are up.

maybe you should do something about the font color. Imo it doesnt have the feeling of being part of the picture.

I really like the design, and the text choice and placement is good, the onlything that really bugs me is that you used that perfect white ontop of the nice gritty cover. I think it would really help if you perhaps made it an overlay, or at least added some grunge to the text. The blood looks a bit too clean aswell. Nice work!
