Hey all, haven't posted anything in a while (I think I can post this here because the texturing on the head is a finished product and that's what I was working on).

This image isn't intended as a finished still but is the head of my warrior character that will be featured in a short animation I'm working on. Consequently I was trying to simulate SSS as best I could with a 3 point spotlight set-up because I'm using spots to light the scenes in the short.

The face will be constantly moving so I tryed to texture the face accordingly. I tried to make his scars look pretty wicked...any feedback is appreciated.

Done in Lightwave, the only post work done is a simple levels adjustment and a slight gaussian in PS. All texture maps painted from scratch in PS.

Wrong forum. CGTalk.com would be more up your alley.

This looks pretty good, though there are 2 things I see that are a little strange with it. His head seems to be a little bit squashed where his ears are, and it makes the top of his head seem odd. Also his ears should probably stick out to the sides a little more. Other than that though pretty cool.

@Maximillion: Ah no, there are alot of 3D artists on CA.org but you should be posting in the 3D section even though that doesn't get as much attention.

Small crit, the color of his eyes looks a little too saturated for my taste. Also the gash on his right check is a little too dark, it makes it appear deeper than it should (although that might be my p.o.s monitor that displays everything too dark). Other than that, nice job.
