Does anyone know where I can get sketches, drawings or anything I can use as a tutorial to study quick sketches of the mighty Glen Keane????

Seems as though there isn't much on the web but sometimes I think I don't have the web-search thing down to an art yet.

Thanxs, if there's any advice on this.
:-)

I agree; for one of the most worshipped men in animation, you would think there would be more websites devoted to him.

...I read somewhere that when Disney shut down the 2D departments, they ran a contest for the remaining 2D animators to see who they would place in their new 3D department to work in their upcoming 'Chicken Little' movie. After viewing the entries, the bigwigs thankfully chose...Glen Keane. hooray!:D

they ran a contest

I'm skeptical about this. Here they are laying off people and they ran a contest? That's fricking adding insult to injury. I don't think Keane and other vets would be THAT desperate

This coming from an artist (I assume)?!? Art is a very unstable field, one that doesn't make much money. True, Glen Keane is one of the highest-paid animators out there, but even that, I'm sure, isn't much. (Sorry--I've grown bitter to this field after being constantly rejected by the big studios)

Dude, you don't shove contests to somebody like Glen Keane or guys who've done a particular style of animation for most of their career.

I think what you're actually referring to was the technique tests that Disney, according to reports and DVD features, conducted to see how Keane's 2d mastery can be integrated with cg (Treasure Planet DVD and the rumored Rapunzel feature).

But please correct me if I"m wrong by showing your source for this contest.

And your assumption is correct, I am an artist (game animator to be specific).
