done for a CD cover in about an hour. U'd expect me to spend more time on something like that but if u knew how little they were paying me...
anyway, it's for a band with a female lead and... umm... yeah thats about it. cnc?

good sketch, it just looks underworked. regardless of the money, i'd finish it just so you aren't publishing an unfinished piece.. if you're going to be credited for it, might as well be proud of it.

hey it's not beacause they don't pay you much that you have to rush the piece. Is money the only reason for you to draw?

Her torso looks weird, defining the muscles a little could help.

Yeah I guess u guys are right. Good advice, as always from the concept art forums. I'll finish it up and post back up here.
mog - no moneys not the only reason i draw. i've been drawing since i was like 4 and I draw everyday. dont u hate it tho when ure friend asks u to draw them a picture and offers to pay u somethin cheap? I'd rather do it as a favor than get crappy pay... i dunno.

I'd have to agree with everyone else... just cause the pay is crap don't mean you put out crap... not saying that your work is crap, I actually kinda like it... But bottom line, your work regardless of where it is and how much you got for it is a reflection of you... Just thought I'd give my two cents...

an hour of work? what are they giving you? for real, i'd like to know, cause i'm getting into designing cd covers right now.
i just quoted a band at $100, and i expect it to be at least 15 hours of work. i know thats shit money, but it's a punk band and they have none. plus, it's rad seeing your stuff on your friends band cd.
but dude, do your best just for yourself if nothing else.

Dyoung - I dunno if u saw the reply i added, its right above ures. I'm going to color it.

evolve - The pay's bad. It's like $10. But I was thinking, and I'm not a professional by any means - I'm only a senior in high school - so I really cant demand amazing pay... Plus theyre my friends and I'll do it as a favor (but I'm takin the $10 anyway :D ). And Ure right, I never thought about how cool it would be to see my artwork on my friend's CD.
