Hey everybody!

Finally i decided to start a sketchbook, as i hope it will help improving my skills.
I started drawing 1 1/2 years ago and i recogniced that it means a lot to me (even though i'm still very bad...). That's why i'm trying hard to become better at drawing.
Fortunately i met Robolus a year ago, and he is a great help, as you can imagine. But still i need some input, tips and tricks, crits and comments from other artiist, so feel free to say whatever you feel about my stuff!

Enough words, some art has to follow:

This is where i am at the moment. First one is a Rubens study:

next, are 4 studies of Tiepolo, a venetian artist who lived in the 18. century

Last one is a study from Franz Ignatz Günther, 18. century as well:

Hey Alex. Cool to see you here. Very nice Stuff. The (Setz hier das englische Wort für Schraffur ein :D ) in the second picture has a nice graduation. Nice flow also.
Do you know, when the next Sketchgroup will be? um... must call Robolus :)
Keep it up, I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.

I´m so happy that you started your Sketchbook here.
Katana is right - you are NOT a beginner anymore, and with your passion and motivation your Art will grow very fast.
Your start is very good, I like the first Tiepolo study a lot.
Try to give with every study 110% and soon you will rock! :)

Gib alles mein Freund, denk an unseren Traum, du weißt schon, wir zwei als Opis in unserem Atelier, große Gemälde malend und so... ;) :chug:

@ katana & nold - thanks a lot, it's just...i feel like a beginner, and if i see all those great artists here... well let' say: i'm still at the beginning...

@ karim - ha, thanks, especially for your compliments concerning my shading. I consider shading as my biggest problem at the moment.

@ dan - well, i think Günther had that in mind...:p

@ rob - wouldn' have started it without you. Let's see where it takes me.
Hoffentlich an einen Kamin, irgendwann :chug:

OK, update!!!

First one is from Piazzetta, venetian as well, 1682-1754. The original image has the most beautiful rendering i've ever seen...

second one is a Erdmann von Menzel. I did it in carbon, a new medium to me.

Enjoy! C&C welcome.
