Mine would have to be "More" a short (6 min) stop-motion animation that has a great atmosphere and story.
Watch it here...
So, what’s your favorite short?

I really liked "The rock" (Das ras ?) a german stop motion short about 2 rock characters... Oh and the classic is The Sand Castle by Coe Hoedeman. I actually handled one of the characters and it's amazing what you can do with a few things and a bit of genius ;)
Jojo in the stars is pretty strange but good too. (3D)
Edit: I saw More some time ago at the animation festival and still love it. the music is great

Personally, I like Hertzfeldt's 'Billy's Balloon.' I saw it on one of those Sick & Twisted festivals and it was the only one I laughed at.
I saw this short film on public television about a year ago and loved it: Robin Larsen's 'Out of Habit' (http://www.kcet.org/finecut/2002/ep_5.php), about a nun who goes to get revenge on a milkman who accidentally kills her parents.

rejected is awsome. billy's balloon is awsome. don is a genious.
but i think Street of Crocodiles by the Brothers Quay made the biggest impression on me. its beautiful.
but there was a short film i saw once that i cant remember where or what the title was, but it was blk/wht and made almost no sense at all. it started off with these kids playing on a very dreary day and they stumble accross a dead guy wrapped in plastic bubble wrap. so they proceeded to poke him with sticks popping the bubbles. haha
then these weird scientist dudes find him and cary him back to their lab and pretty much do the same thing. it was great. every shot was framed perfectly. beautiful piece of work.
has anyone seen this? if so, what was it called? i'll do some research and see if i cant find out for this thread.
