nice work, I think the fingers on the top hand in the page of hands are a little thin.. it might just be I have stubby fingers tho.. damn thatd suck heh ;)

nice work anyway.. if you dont mind me asking, did you learn to draw from book(s)? It seems a lot of people draw in a similar style and I quite like it! Very angular for a nice effect.

sixBlade: Yep, thats kinda what I did. The human studies of the backs are all from Robolus, a really great artist. I think he has studied the art from some other dude...damn, I forgot his name...hmmm... yep, I did forget.
Well seen.
The first one though is done from a photo. The hands are all made up, or drawn from my own...

I hope you'll come back later, when I post some new pictures.

I kinda like it, even though it has got some proportion failures...

grüessech :]

place your lines more carefully.
this is especially important when drawing faces, (seems even more important to me when drawing female faces,) really get the features in the correct position. As you may notice in the last painting, the right eyebrow sits slightly higher than the left one (too high, even if the head is tilted sideways a bit). the upper lid on the right is a lot bigger "fleshier" than the left one, also the right pupil is huge compared to the left one, which creates a strange effect. (which I think you didn't really want to be there?) All those small "offs" are summing up and giving a "something in there is wrong"-feeling.
BUT, severely constructed, totally symmetrical faces will often look artificial/unnatural. You got to find something inbetween.

Hope this helps..

Nice work! I like most of it, but I think some are a little too light. Perhaps you could push the darks a bit. The last sketch is cool! The only thing I noticed is the right pupil being to large as dorian mentioned. I didnt really think about the right eyebrow being too high as a mistake, I thought he was raising it. Post lots of sketches and Im sure more people will answer.

Very good start.

I noticed some of your anatomy studied seemed too rigid and geometric, but then the others were flowing and organic... try and keep em smooth and organic like you did, even though they're basically the same studies the smoother ones looked many times better.

My critiques are the same as Dorian's and Morbid's, so there ya go, haha.

Keep working hard on everything and keep up with those anatomy studies!

I'll check back for an update soon.

Hi mucke good work so far.

I really interested how you did the first two or three drawings,
where did you start exactly?

U have a good hand with human face features looking at that "mimic play"
(last drawing)

Keep it up!

nice, you certainly seem to be under way. The profile of the man and the studies and then the last one are the best of the thread. But you need to work on your facial proportions a lot. The profile for example, you're still drawing the ye like it's 3/4 view, the eyebrow goes too far back as well. Sense of light in that one is pretty good. But i suggest doing lots of studies next to stuff from imagination. And take your time for the studies. When doing a study you have to look at the image/person first and wonder things like where's the light coming from, is it a strong spotlight or more ambient light, proportions, form, etc, and remember these things for later drawings from imagination. A study isn't worth a lot if you're just copying without thoroughly looking, you'll practice your technique sure but not your sense of light and form.
