I'm new here (obviously) and I heard that this website had a lot of really wonderful and talented artists, so I wanted to ask for some tips if it's not to much trouble.
I've been having a lot of trouble drawing emotions. I don't really have any examples or anything so you can see what I mean, but the eyes... look generic? I don't know how to describe it, but I don't like it.
So, any tips on emotions would be most appreciated. :)

Look in the mirror! Have a little mirror that you can make the face into while you are drawing and look at it while you are drawing that emotion. You can also study differences and what makes the face look happy or sad or mad and what the eyes etc do in those situations.

thats one way of doing it! pull the face you want in the mirror and take a digital pic then draw what you see, or if you are worried look around for some reference materials online like the the andrew loomis stuff for example

there are a whole hoard of head and facial expressions in these .pdf files some cartoony but you get the idea what he is on about as you look through.
Just a thought that may help you in your quest for info
