This is Artemis and the Cerynitian hind. A female deer with golden antlers... odd, because female red deer don't have antlers, but I'm not gonna worry about that. It's what the myth says.

I'm doing this for a project in my classical mythology class. The prof really only wants accuracy in the representation, which I believe I have, but I figured if I can get some crits and comments here, it could only help :)

her nose is quite large. everything else is pretty solid.

her ear is a bit to wide.. and lil to big..

ow and to make a nicer composition i would raise the birds a litlle.. but .. if u leave it this way.. its fine to me :) i love it!

*edit*

her hands seem to be of different size .. i think her right hand is to small (viewers left)

I think this is a good piece of work. I do agree that the right hand may be too small, but I disagree about the nose and ear. that particular character could just have a big nose and ear. it doesn't look to me to be anatomically incorrect.

the only other comment I have is that her pose looks a little stiff. when you drew her did you do a gesture drawing of her entire body "even what wasn't in the picture" or did you only worry about what would be seen. I think they might be why she looks kind of stiff.
