Here's a sketch I did for a CD cover project I'm working on. This is the master Peter Gabriel. If you haven't heard or seen him since Sledgehammer, this is what he looks like now. If you're a music fan you definitely owe it to yourself to check out his website. Peter Gabriel (http://petergabriel.com/moonclub/). Anyway, here's the sketch, I hope the final CD case comes out ok. This sketch was a lot of fun to do. The finish will be in oil. I'm thinkin of using some acrylic too. Enjoy.

Ha ha, it's good to see someone had something to say about this :D I'm a metal fan as well. That's actually how I learned to play and love music. Obvious classics and favorites being, Metallica, Pantera, Fear factory etc. Nirvana, Beatles... LOVE '
em. Anywho, thanx for the in put. This was a fun sketch so wish me luck on the final. Here are some cover Ideas for what might be a slip case or the actual cover. Let me know what you think.

I O - Is the name of the follow up cd to UP. It means a couple of things, Input/Output, In/Out, and symbolizes things like birth/death etc.

U P - Is the name of his current cd. But the same meanings apply to this cd as well as I/O

P G - Are Peter Gabriel's initials. Pretty Self Explanitory.

I wanted to play on the theme of dots since he uses them in his lyrics as symbols for many things. And the things theses dots symbolize all of the things I just meantioned... "It sort of builds the world up from dots. The first dot is on and off, what is and what is not. Two dots are the first things that a baby recognises as a face and 3 dots would be the means of triangulation and defining any point in 3 dimensional space. With 4 dots you can include time and have definition there and also have a base, a foundation, on which to build. So its bit like trying to find your place in the world and growing up in the meantime.
" - Peter Gabriel

Also, the dots are input output jacks that you find on must music equipment so it kills two birds with one stone. I'm still working on the interior of the case as well as the back of the cd. The interior will be a mix of traditional (oil, acrylic, etc.) as well as mix it with photography and digital. So let me know what you think about all that. Any crits are encouraged.
