hey everyone... i dont think i've actually posted any of my work, but i do browse and check out the work almost every day. I'm really into vehicles and concept art, mainly i want to get into video games. seeing as i have no environment work and types of buildings, i guess i should start doing them. i sat down last night trying to come up with a masterpiece but i just got frustrated. there are so many things to draw, and i have to idea where to start. so i actually got something done today. the first one... didnt care for. after realizing how much the first one sucked i tried something different. i really feng's work and im trying not to steal his style. i use marker, clike olor pencil, and gouache. i find these organic structures a good place to start. i'll start building my way up, kind of like a civilization. machinery and vehciles are my specialty so this is something totaly different. there are some great artists on these boards so i thought it was a good place to come for critique and advice,

well they're definitely cool, and i like their style. I personally haven't/don't do much environment/structural stuff, but plenty of people do. i'm surprised no one's commented.

on the first, the flamey torch thingy looks wierd, probly cause it overlaps the edge of the building. additionally, it almost seems not level, or odly shaped. maybe adding a base would help. i like the roof grassie thingy...

the second one is sweet. the angle is strange, but i think it works. i like the smoke hole..maybe do a little more on the smoke itself for effect. it looks much crisper than the first, better laid out. i feel like i'm levitating, and about to go see what the hell is glowing in that funky shack!

sweet work man. and don't worry. some people just don't like commenting (i know how it feels)

thanks for the comps and crit. i see what your saying about the flame. overall i think the first one is more of a failure... but i gots to start somewhere. im seeing some perspective problems on that second one now....

i would gladly comment if those damn red x's weren't plaguing me (i swear i'm on this so much lately, i'm gonna have nightmares about the stupid things) believe me, i'm the comment queen until i get a way to scan my own pics...so where's the goods, candyman?
