I've been so impressed with the awesome sketch threads and progress of people that I thought I'd post one of my own. These are a few anatomy sketches. Mostly Shepperd and then a couple that I did from nude pictures on the web.

These are looking nice!

Kinda hard to see the second image though.I think you should try to vary your line weight on your more finished pieces and maybe push the values more too.

If you really want to improve your figures you definitely want to take life drawing classes or at least try to find somewhere to sketch people.I think drawing from books & photos is ok but when you have a real person in front of you its a completely different and more challenging experience.

This can become extremely addictive though-you're always trying to do better each time you show up for class

I'd very much like to take a life-drawing class. There's one here that opens up in a couple of months - I've checked into it. The problem is if I can afford it - depends on if my Fiance gets a job soon. He's been out of work for a couple of months now and it's hard being the only paycheck.

I've started sketching some people at the laundrymat - I'm going to try to find some other places too.
