**3/25** - Ok, I sat down with the bugger again and gave him a head, among other things. The quills were put in just for the picture; I can't do much with them until the back is finalized.

The eyes are really bugging me; I was lucky enough to get ahold of glass eyes but they make him look vacant. Urgh. I took Smellybug's advice (thanks for responding!) and de-lumped him.. only to realize I took too much off and had to re-lump him. Gah!

Even though I got my deadline extended (WOO!) I could use a little feedback at this stage in the game, on the face and the anatomy or anything that comes to mind. I really appreciate this!

Anf for reference, the original drawing on which this is loosely based.

Eeep, no thoughts or feedback? I guess I'll take that as a positive thing and move ahead with it.

well, you only waited one hour for feedback, but that aside, the sculpture feels different than the drawing, and seems like its taller, but all in all the sculpture is wonderful.

I think this is looking great. I especially like the details shown in shots 2 and 3, in particular his colar bone and the stretch of flesh on his upraised armpit. The armature looks solid and his pose seems to have a good weight...the sculpture itself is giving off a dark crystal vibe that I'm digging.

And you're going to finish this by Friday? :O Daaaaamn.

Hmm, I just noticed it also reminds me a bit of the Bellgoi from Dark Sun (D&D game world)...is he going to be holding that amulet in his upraised hand?

Heh... heheh...

Dear lord, there's no way I can get this done for friday. My teacher is gonna kill me... but I"m gonna have a fine sculpture when this is done, dammit!

fukifino: Thanks, glad to hear everything seems to check out ok. I vaguely remember the Dark Sun games... I had "Wake of the Ravager" waaaaaaaaaay back when for my PC. Good times. :)
