HEY!!
im starting a model in 3dsmax, and this is basically the template that i will be working off of. im reletively new at drawing the female figure, and since im really excited about this model, and want to make it the best i possibly can, i need some critiques from all you awsome artists out there...
the picture looks good to me,,,but something bugs me about it,,,is it my imagination,,,or did my drawing teacher say that bodies should be around 7 1/2 heads high?
thanks for any crit:chug:

Hello Mr Toasty, from what I see of it the head is definatly too big. You are right about the 7.5 lol heads length. Also on the side view (it may be just me), but it almost looks as if with that much curve in her back she'll fall over? If this is not so, then ignore what I think. Overall pretty decent sketch! Keep up the good work!;)

Hmm.. I think you should work the hips a bit more. They seem to start too low. Her ribcage seems to end much too high, especially in the front view. Also for the front view, breasts are not pecs. The mass of a breast should start below the top of the arm pit line. Because of gravity the larger they are the farther down they will hang. Generally the main mass in natural breasts will be in the bottom half and will fold over the lower point of "attatchment" as well. I think you should start your breasts lower and end them somewhere around the line you have for the ribcage now. At least in the frontal drawing. It is hard to say in the side view because I dont think anyone can/would really stand that way... with their shoulders pushed so far back. In both, it seems to me that the lower leg should be larger and/or maybe just more defined, depending on the age you want. (Define them more if she is older than 13.)
Wow.. I know that is something of a list! I hope you find it helpful. :) Post the model when you're done!

Work on the breasts a bit. But still, good job.

get yourself a Maxim or FHM magazine and study the exaggerated poses of the girls in there. Believe me, it will help out alot. The head is too big, the arms are slightly too long (The fingers shoulder end slightly below the crouch), and let gravity affect the natural hang of the breast a little. Not that high up. They should end right below the shoulder not flushed with them.
