The actuall purpose is as a part of a website im making for my very own mod. This was enspired by a Norman Rockwell picture i saw just he other day, I hope I was able to in atleast a minute ammount convey the feeling that he so masterfully achieves with evry single pice of his work.

At any rate ive been working on it for qutie a while now even though it might not look it, and i went through a ton of revisions before i achieved this. Over all it was a dificult process, trying to convey movement which carries with it an added unconvinience of having to think in 3d something im not accustomed to. I have to say that over all I am quite pleased with myself, i hope you guys can give me c&c on this so that i might improve further, I have been runing in circles for too long and its time to start learning :).

The image above is a 33% reduction the full image is here (http://lazysam.homestead.com/files/testFactor/Marines/actiongrunt_v22.jpg)

P.S: personally I despize the face although it does somewhat convery the expression I was going for, the over all look is displeasing and in my opinion does not convery the sterotipical square jawed hero of the 50's.

hey kalash,
i looked at your earlier post and then this one...i can see much improvement...you still need the straight up front rigid drawing for modeling....
anyways, thats not why im commenting...i just noticed that you posted a new thread....why dont you update your old one instead of adding to the bulk of this category?

just a thought, im not an admin so my voice is really squeeky and insignificant.

adios

Well, I can't help you with the painting cause I can't paint to save my life, but I thought I'd make a comment here.

1. the first drawing you posted wasn't bad, but the second was MUCH improved. Changing the face made all the difference in the world, so good job on that.

2. If you're new to painting and photoshop, I wouldn't try that pic. That is one seriously complex picture, that i think would probably take some real skill to paint. Start with something simple to paint first off.

anyway, just my two cents, for what it's worth. :D
