if i want to buy a desktop for 3d work...more on modeling and rendering for interior and exterior design,what spec should i use for? The software i will used is are 3dmax, rhino, Photoshop, illustrator, auto cad, form Z and vector work
So what should an ideal computer for me to have ?
processor core i7 903 or core i5 650? ram 4gb or 6gb? graphic card nvidia 1gb or ati better?

i5 760, 6GB DDR3, GTX 580/GTX 480 or maybe a Quadro? A good PSU brand like Antec or Corsair >650W, a good P55 mobo and a case with excellent airflow/cooler.
Also check the new sandy-bridge CPU's and mobos.

I've read often that gaming cards, while able to do a decent job if they're powerful enough, are best avoided if you are serious about 3D work. A Quadro would be ideal but they're veeeery expensive. But the best CPU you can afford would be good as that's what renders.
