hmmm...interesting. I really like the mood of this. The loose sort of scribbly style is cool too. The only thing I really don't like about it is the mechanical foot. It's a bit TOO scribbly for my tastes. But that's personal preference, overall very good job. :)

this is neat.
i think you should explore different methods and techniques that could be brought into your existing style and give your overall pieces more weight..
maby bring in some opaque oils "in painter" or you could even jack around with the dry ink brushes,, "my personal favorite".
maby commit to your lines and shapes a bit more aswell.
great work.

Oh, one more thing...I don't believe in "too scribbly". If it suits the subject, go nuts. Look at the drawings of Heinrich Kley.. they are almost all scribble and some of the best damn work I have ever seen. If anything I would say more scribbles would give it volume. Keep up the good work.

Haunting image. And powerfull too. You choice of style reminds me of Keith Williams, and I say that as a compliment. Very, very nice! :)

Thx everyone for replying :)
Lono: you're definitely right when you say that I should explore more techniques. I'm a complete rookie in Painter and I'm still learning. I'll have a check to the brushes you're talking about. This piece was supposed to be posted in the "sketches" section but I found myself just loving the rough kind of rendering I had so I decided not to go further in the completion of the image.
ahem... i have one thing to ask again... since I'm french I do not fully understand all that you people can say. Here I don't understand what means the word "scribble". Tried to put it in a translator but it just couln't find anything. Can somebody help please ?

scribble, "in the correct context" is, very loose and chaotic lines.
its the opposite of neat and clean lines.

i think there can be too much "scribble" in a drawing if the draw overall has a less then moderate feel of "scribble" to it. If it's farely noticeable that the scribble was intended to be used as a techniqual feature then I think it's much better in use.
I'm babbling...
cool piece though, reminds me of something ashley wood would do. Also some pieces from TonchyZ have that simaliar greyscale/grit style.

In advertisment graphics context a scribble is a thumbnail sketch, very rough, just showing the main direction of a later layout.
BTW I just want to tell you that you´re one of my favourite artists in this forum - very original work. Keep posting!
