I breifly had a sketchbook up here last year for a few months, but I stopped updating it. This time I intend to keep it going with at least weekly additions.

yeah buddy! keep rockin those studies man, youll be getting better in no time. just make sure that when you draw the figures from ref, that you are studying the form and not just copying the image.. ..copying doesnt help with the learning (i have come to find). make sure you get some bone and muscle studies in there as well.. . learning the inner makings of the body will help immensly. keep them comin

i realy iike the direction you were taking the shading on that figure drawing, reall stark and you got a good sense of the lights and darks. studies are always fun to look at, especially the foot stuff. i think i could benefit from those myself. keep it coming.

xia - thanks, i love to work in pen. typically use a blue ball point bic. some people have told me not to work in pen, but sometimes it works better for me than graphite. definitely helped with my confidence in putting down lines
meta - yeah studies rock. especially when you hit a plateau. what the hell are you doing? start posting again!!
metalwinds - yeah that's why i quit doing that tonal drawing, just cuz i realized i was only copying values, and not referencing the form. going to approach it differently
steak - thanks, i try at least to get gesture in there. proper form in perspective is the tricky part for me
here's some of my interiors...
couple of my "better" attempts if you can call it that

perspective drawing is one of my favorite exercises, but also the most frustrating. i have a big problem with establishing depth and seperating things

dude, i always enjoy seeing your perspective stuff, you can tell it is what you have fun doing. it gets a little confused in some areas but it is still so much fun to look at. keep up the observational stuff, it is definately helping. i could use some of it myself. i have hit a wall real hard, hence the lack of posting, but it will happen soon. thanks for the encouragement. keep it up.
