These creatures are responsible for all the thumps, bumps, and in this case BANGS in the night. Here's one of them at a rare glimpse.

Concept: Oscar's Amoebiomorph
Named after the Sesame Street grouch for lurking in (relatively) innocent-looking back-alley trashcans, these creatures take no greater pleasure than in scaring the shit out of meal-seeking urban scavengers. Originally thought to be made by a series of events involving extensive mould and Hubba-Bubba chewing gum, these Amoebiomorphs revel in the flinging of waste and the din caused therein.

Concept: Xnokh
Xnokh are a disturbed race. They feel that if they own as many keys that they can find they may unlock the future. Xnokh are on an endless search and will steal house keys and car keys over others that they find.
....what.... (searching pockets) ...where are my keys and who left the door open and drooled on the floor?

Concept: Barking Bulb
These small and defiant creatures can be found on many planets, where they travel on pioneers' ships. They originate from plants, so their feeding needs are very tiny. All they need is a piece of the ground where they can put their legs-roots and sun light. They are small, but when they find their place they will defend it very fiercely. They are chasing away the intruders by making the noise which sounds almost like dog's barking. That's why people call them Barking Bulbs. Spiteful settlers like to drop them into neighbours gardens, just to observe how poor unexpecting miserables are barked at by those small bulbs. Also, chase after those small weeds is very entertaining. Because it's not so easy to catch those small bastards....

Concept: Circus Saboteur
Have you noticed the lack of circuses these days? Back in the day, the circus used to be the place where kids and adults alike could marvel at the sights and sounds of the big top and all its wonders.
Then along came this second cousin to the common gremlin, simply known as the circus saboteur. Its evil grin only hints at the motive for this crafty creature to wreak all sorts of mischief and eventually undermine the circus circuit as we know it. Known for its use of tools and and various other accessories often discarded by humans, this homely little beast makes it way from circus to circus, creating havoc and unleashing its mischievous behavior. It is not known exactly why the Saboteur has it in for the big show, but it has been rumored that it once belonged to the freak show exhibit, often tormented and teased by its captors for its unruly red hairdo. The Saboteur is said to have escaped, leaving the circus where it once thrived as an attraction, a burning heap of ashes.

Voting is up! Wicked round. It's gonna be a hard one...
I'm a bit too exhausted for full crits and comments this week. I was a big fan of a lot of the entries this week but my top 4 were:
JanJager - Great attention to detail. bursting with personality, nice rendering.
openanewworld - Amazing style, with excellent sense of form and a fantastic design.
JakkaS - Welcome back to the comp. I joined shortly after you took your sabbatical, but I can confidently say I'm glad you're posting again. Excellent rendering and design. It's hard to give plants personalities and I think you've done a pretty damn good job here.
scorge - Great rendering, awesome design, funny concept with brilliant execution and above all: the best representation of a mischievous personality of the lot (as I see it). Got my vote.

Jakkas - well rendered and an unusual design, a little niggle, its hard to relate to because there are no usual facial features and so no recognisable expression, small thing though. loooks pro.
scorge - i like the pose of the creature and especially the how you captured the mischievous expression on his face, great attention to detail. i wish you could teach me how to paint as well as you.

Hey guys, just letting all of you know that JakkaS has so many wins, that there isn't actually an icon that represents the amount of stars he has. I'm going to try and figure this stuff all out so we can accommodate >20 wins, so bear with me and congrats to JakkaS on being that awesome.
