Thank you all for the encouragement! It looks like I will be doing digital and traditional demonstrations at the workshops. I will be bringing some sketchbooks for you too.

It looks like the response for the workshop is going great! Manley and Jones asked me to bring my sketchbooks. I will see how many I can fit in my luggage. If I dont pack socks I can fit an extra one or two!

Really nice. I like the possessed blood thirst look. And the detail with the blurred depth of field add a nice touch.
Very well done.
I should be attending the workshop and look forward to learning from what you have to say.

wow, really excellent! I want to see more of your work, too!
great mixed anatomy, the goat head looks like it has the heaviness appropriate to a long skull with horns. The only weak area is its right hand, I think the thumb looks a little indistinct and the middle knuckles could be more prominent. The only reason it stands out to me is because the head of the flail so wonderfully well-realized and sharply rendered I could use it as a plan to build a real one.

Dear god. That is so fantastic it should be illegal.
The only thing I don't like is how you solved the canvas color: the blurred grey blob. But ther rest is just... :jawdrop:

This is crazy. I'm still waiting for the damn monster to pop out and grab me. Anyway, I'm just wondering why the right hand it sort of blurred? If its intentional then is it to draw attention into the face? Or what?

I like the way you have (in the first pic) maximized the scale of the figure without really making it all that big by using a top-down perspective on the legs and straight on with the head. Very inspiring. Thanks for posting.

Puddnhead, I love your stuff! It's really great to see some new images.
The third pic confused me for a couple minutes, visually. I read it as if the creature's left hand was clawing into something. Like if it were slashing it's fingers into a screen with a picture projected onto it, with darkness behind the screen. It took me a little while to see that the black claws were actually part of the hand.
Did anyone else experience this optical delusion?

Honestly, Puddn...I heard people raving and I saw some of your work earlier...so I was flipping through some of my D&D books and founds some of your art and I was thinking "eh..that's alright...but nothing special." Silly me, I didn't realize Puddnhead was also Llewellyn here on CA. Android's ref to KEVART.com tipped me off.
Unbelievable that talent like this exists.
What is it that separates work this good from the works of the old masters? I've often wondered who will be remembered as the great masters of our time by future generations. If there is a nominating committee somewhere, I'd gladly offer up Kevin LLewellen for the title.
