A drawing i did...took me forever, and it sucks, but is complete. C&C please, i want to become a good artist, so please be as hard on me as you want

bear in mind it was 100% freehand, and thats is a freaking crapload of bricks :rant:

good job, but you should use more darkness on shadings.. that makes the lightning more shining..
practise, you got the talent.

i like it.

it isnt very realistic, it has a cool stylized, impressionistic feel. not all artwork needs to be realistic.

but if you want to become a better artist, you will need to practice some perspective drawing and anatomy. im not sure what it would be called, i guess attention to detail or working with forms, seeing through forms - but your moon is not circular, though it works with your loose style.

thanks for the c&c guys. I thin kive already improved since that drawing was done. its maybe 6 months old. I've been trying to work on some new stuff, but i cant seem to focus. hopefully ill have something up soon...

This comment is probably just coming from my growing intollerance towards graphite, but I recomend that you get some contrast in there. That's the problem with graphite. If you cover your page with it, you end up with an image that looks overwhelmingly gray and metalic no matter how great your technical skill is. For full scenes in which you claim all of your space, I recomend charcoal with some conte' crayon for your highlights. You have a good start here and and interesting composition. Given your rich subject matter however, it deserves an equally rich medium.
