I've seen #1. It's not that great compared to the later issues.

You could probably get it cheaper used somewhere else than at Budplant (it's a good store, for sure, but they don't always have the best prices).

Good luck. I'm missing two editions from my collection. I tried to Ebay them and dropped out at $100.00 each.

Ha ha...$100 for that issue?! Incredible :(

Last time I saw it a neighborhood used book store it was only going for under......$25....Canadian ($18.76 at the current exchange rate).

If you want I could check it out again when the store re-opens this Spring. But, it's probably less hassle to get the reprint, unless....you really want the 1st edition.

Hey Flip,

Thank you so much for the offer (what a great crew here at Concept Art!) but I do have the first volume. I'm missing two others, I forget which numbers. I'm just being lazy about ordering them through Bud Plant. Though, I should soon, as an art director, I find those books indispensable. I was visiting National Geographic while in DC for the last World Fantasy Con. was pleasantly surprised to see the latest Spectrum on their desk -- a bunch of names circled. It's reaching beyond it's assumed audience.
