The red light one is pretty cool! And I like the previous to last one too, nice style.
I like your use of colours =)

i attempted to set it up like rembrandt lighting, with a lamp on the right and a white canvas on my left, to get the triangle thang and reflected light off the white canvas, it was fun to do but the colors and form are laaaaaaaaaaaaame

Nice! Keep going with these, I can already see improvement.

A few things:

I think you are getting too caught up in textured brushes. I am of the opinion that one should use them only as icing on the cake when everything else is really solid. I believe Noxizmad uses pretty much only the standard round, and that is all you really need.

Values! I think in some areas the values are a bit off and it makes some areas look flat and others look weird like the hair (in which the highlights looks too extreme). I recommend a few done only in greyscale.

Anyhow, as I said keep it up--they are looking great.

thanks andrew, noxizmad's stuff is nice, but i don't want to end up like that! i'm going for more of a jaime/mullins approach, becuase i fookin love that style! texture brushes are fun too, and (like below) can have a nice painterly feeel which i dig. thanks though, will do a grayscaly next!

stage 1, which looked cool
then i blocked it all in, left it blocky cause i overworked the last one and i learn enough from it and then got carried away with the bg brush haha

Looking good Ryanoir, soo many sp's how long are you spending on each? the colours your using look pretty good but a lot of them seem warped in certain ways, like in post 11 i dont believe you have such a tiny chin! haha lots of improvement already and im a fan of the custom brush too, just makes things more fun and painterly :)
