quick figure demo

i just came back from figure drawing. i did this sketch in painter in about 25 minutes. and i made a short movie to go along with it.

i will be going into more detail about this technique in Amsterdam.

well some people had problems with the original movie file,
here is the painter 7 script, load it into your script library, open a new file 1000x1600 pixels and paly it.

the movie is an awkward size, try downloading and loading the original script into painter and play it.

THe files has a txt extension, ive never heard of a video with a text extension, is this the problemo?

You should be able to open a txt file as a script movie in Painter only I don't seem to be able to do that with this one or the .mov. Running Painter 8.1 here as well.

i watched android create this short masterpiece and believe me its worth the trip to amsterdam just to view the script in slow motion. its amazing!

In both Painter 7 and 8, opening it as a Script Library helps, in that I can see the thumbnail as 'davenudegood'. I still can't play it though, although apparently Android uses Cold Press Watercolor Paper texture and oil pastel for this work, at least in the beginning. :)

It does use Painter 7 brushes and papers, not Painter 8, although you can select an appropriate brush or paper from Painter 8's selection and have it continue.

Looks like you didn't really export the script as a script (.txt) but as a script library of one.

thats an awesome replay thing in painter. I learned a bit from seeing how you work.

PS:
I got it to work in painter 7 just by changing the extension to .ssd and loading it as a library. A bunch of errors will come up but if you click thruogh them all itll play after a while.
