Here's a Robot I did last night for fun. Looked at Prometheus' photoshop tutorials, then did this in whatever version of Painter comes with the Wacom tablet

and another weird face thing I did in photoshop, just playing around with the brushes to see what I can see.

C&C much appreciated, and not just the Music Factory

good starts. Digital coloring is so much harder then guys like Prometheus make it look. Lets see some more!
C&C
-the robot should have more specular highlights, and not perticularly white or whatever, but just more brightly contrasted areas, methinks. The highlights on the treads are the same as the body, are they both rubber or metal? Also, how does the tread work if the body comes out of the middle? heh.
-I cant see much with the face, as a sketch it is working real well for me. maybe the nose highlight is too broad, the large white stroke.
Keep 'em coming!

okay, I tried to follow some of your suggestions. I put a separation in between the treads and some sort of post thing in the middle to hold him up. I also added some highlights and some tiny dents, and some definition on the front of the treads. More C&C! Need more INNNPUUUUUUUT. hehe.

oh yeah, that arm looks sweet, the inside of the treads too. The body is still not as consistantly cool as the arm or the inside gears. I'm not sure how to fix that though...The dual treads is a good easy fix.
Rather then try and fix this up anymore, maybe do another piece with what you learned on the arm and gears, cause those parts are seriously ill.
