AHHHH!! Besides the AWKWORD pose, whacha all think?

here is a close up (duh) to show detail (duh) but more importantly color variation, notice the hue shifts from a yellow green at is brightest and then top a red, before goin to a darker blue. this helps keep the forms from looking flat.

great as always, but should his head be a tiny bit bigger?

the pose is kind of awkward....

only teasing (I mean, it is...but you already knew). I think the proportions look way off, which may be a result of the pose. And I don't mean you can't exaggerate them, but the way they look now, the dude's got a tiny head, then a giant torso, and super skinny arms and legs. For his armor to have some mass, and for him to be that tall, it really needs to be thicker, to allow for him to pass through the insides. The shoulders don't make any sense (where does his arm go through? or is he not human?), but they look cool. None of that applies if he isn't human, but I get the impression he is...I like the paint though, real solid. Photoshop or Painter?

nardfrog I really dig this Roboguy!!! I think my favorite part about it is the akward pose... Did you use painter? Wacom? I hope he has a jet pack!!! I'll assume he does, robodudes gotta have a jet pack!!! He sort of reminds me of a character out of Aeon Flux!!!

well great piece.. one thing though.. i think you should make the upper body shorter. that is right ;D the upper body, then it will fit with the head size and the legs it looks kinda elongated as it is.. but maybe that is something wanted..

i like it anyways.

The armor is very nice, and i think a different background could be a nice addition.

Showdah bustin Prawps foda illy foos. MAH

I used photoshop 7 and a 9x12 wacom intuos 2. The BG i used painter 7.

Sheet pose; yes

Long torso; Yes. art is subjective and i was aware of this as i made him. unfortunately, concept art needs to be acurate and straight foward - sucks for me.

Small head; NO, he is in thick armor and it's fine, trust me.

Next time ill make show to color a decent piece of work instead of some drawing i crapped out without any critique.
Ya see, i love coloring and ill setle for about drawing to color.

Thanks all! Very helpful input!

Nice drawing, i dig it.
As far as conceptual part of it goes...
Thick armor over entire body with no helmet?
Kinda defeats the purpose.
Head size does seem to be a bit off, especially compared to
the length of his arms. His hands are too big also, there is no way to fit a human-sized hand in those, fingers are too far apart and are too long.
As someone else pointed out, shoulder joints make no sence, ther is no way for shoulders to fit through there.
Those are small mistakes though, overall level of work is pretty high. Keep it coming.

there's a little similarity, but I dont care. Guess weapon designs are more or less limited.

Decently painted, I might have gone over a few areas with a warm color brush to vary the warm values. Yes, the head is a tad small, but overall a nice piece. - mh

nice work man!
but his face seems kind of liquid to me and the dark grey part in his uniform could need some more shading
apart from that very cool mech/soldier
warhammer 40.000 style yeah
