Before we begin a drugstore cowboy is a term from the 20s for a guy who dresses up really nice and hangs out in public places to meet women.

My idea is of a 1970-esque cop/detective story set in present or not too distant future. The main character dressed in a suit and tie that sometimes gets messed up. and always trying to get chicks while hes on the job.

I just thought up the idea, so I really haven't thought too much detail on it.

How do you guys like the premice(sp?).

The Prey series by John Sandford is about a detective that's always trying to get women. He's rich, might dress nicely, and can get the job done. Read Rules of Prey if you want to find out more about him.

DAmn, it's been done before?

Meh...I'll read it and try to make my comic alot different than it.

It's not necessarily quite like your idea. The womenizing thing is more of a personality trait of his. It doesn't play as big a part as the crimes he investigates.

Drugstore Cowboy was also a movie starring Matt Dillon.

I like your idea. Has great potential

Was the movie popular and did it have a similar plotline?

I don't want people to start reading my comic thinking it has anything to do with the movie.
