I'd say if your goal with the line drawings is to make the figure look like it actually has volume, you'll want to vary your lines. Right now, your line is the same all the way around, which immediately flattens everything. The first step would be to use a different pencil, since a mechanical pencil always gives you an even line, which is NOT what you want when you want to vary your lines. The basic rule with line is objects that are closer to the eye are darker, while objects further away are lighter. Also, to suggest mass, it's typical to have a darker line on the bottom to give the object weight.
Also, I don't see too many structural lines inside the figure. It looks like you jumped right in with outlining the form, which isn't a great way to draw the figure.

On the other hand, if your object is to draw for graphic novels or other sequential art, you have captured a very effective way of quickly delineating forms in a clear, concise way where negative space is easily isolated and minimalistic shading nicely conveys light shadows (a la Vierge) on the female form. I, for one, see these as excellent studies, especially considering the short time involved.
More, please.

danteort : thanxs for the comment, but in fact this year in figure drawing i am not trying to do it academically, i've already done that for some years now.
In fact you are completely right, i am trying to draw the figure whithout a lot of structural lines, more like a direct drawing, i mean i am especially trying to work my "line" more than the shapes and volume.
like i said before i was doing it the normal way, like those two examples (and i still do it every week but it doesnt interest me as much as the one i am showing in this thread)

I know this one might look more "right" and well constructed, but now i am looking for new things, to evolve my "style" and technique, thats why i am almost drawing the figure in one "direct line" whithout construction, in order to find marks and style that fits me (for now my biggest inspirations are egon schiele, and more recently kent williams, ashley wood, etc ...)
as for the varying of the line, i dont know ...
you are right that variation defines volume, but I intentionally try to have a regular line in weight, but alive in shape and irregularity, if you look at egon shiele's work, his line is quite uniform, the volume is not really defined, but the life is here, because he tells other things in his lines, he shows the imperfections, he shows the raw side of human nature ... I am not saying in any way that i am succeeding with those drawings, but i am trying :)
in any way, your words are completely right, but i am trying to go further than the usual volume/shading approache to draw the figure ... i guess =)
edit : vanderwolff : well you are right and said it better in two lines than me in several paragraphes :) my goal is mostly graphic novel and illustration you are right, and i am trying to reduce the frontier between my imaginative work and my work from life, and to find things that i can use in both.
thanxs for the comment :)
