MRMan : just a couple of tips I was told when I was beginning at this (still beginning :P) Its better to use a background color but not just white
and then .. if your using Burn / dodge to make shadows / highlights there are much nicer ways, just go to the color tablet with the color you need to put shadow on and drag the thingy little bit down and to the right (up , left for highlights) I did those same errors. And I recommend to read this (hope I can post this link here :) Click me (http://www.eatpoo.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11173)

I'm amazed how quickly the first couple of images turned up today! Impressive. :)
Right, here's today's DSG from me:

And, just for the hell of it, here's the thumbnail sketch I did to work it out:

I find these guy topics (for lack of a better term) pretty hard going! I've never drawn a gun before. I'm used to flowers and faces :p Anyway, good practice.
There's some nice pics here. I really like yours, Beatnik, the Hawaii 5-0 style :) Yours too, Wocket - it's a great idea.

Couldn't spend more than 20 min on it or I'd be late for a date.
Mr. Right is never late.
It's supposed to work with a rotating mechanism. You pull it down when you want to fire. Obviously, it's only for people with strong backs.

First time posting, yeah...
Made it in Photoshop- and took hella longer than it would for someone who had used photoshop before, hehe. :p
Started sketching and well, the single-handed missile wagon was what I came up with.

About 45 minute sketch and 20 minutes of shading in Photoshop with my dreaded mouse.

Iotrez - I really like the colors and design. My wife thought that it was a fish from where she was sitting.
DaveTheOriginal - Very nice design and the attention to little detail like the heat vents really adds believability.
Til tomorrow...

I know Iīm really late but I havenīt had time to draw yesterday ... Iīve been a bit carried away, could write a complete handbook how to handle the launcher.
Hereīs the concept, fitting in my personal project Iīm working on at the moment. A multipurpose, personal missile launcher.
Itīs easily possible for a normal soldier to carry the singleshot version with some ammo with him, for the magazine version he has to take an approbiate bag.
http://www.kriegsherren-von-og.de/diverses/launchertext.jpg
Here it is in use. The soldier is holding an energyshield in his left hand, putting the barrel through the field to be able to fire.
http://www.kriegsherren-von-og.de/diverses/anwendung2.jpg
And here are some graphics to show the use with the four different ammo-types (have I told that I like this easy manual type illustrations where everything seems completely clear :D)
Ammo 1 is a parachute grenade to slow the fall of the grenades enough to get through the enemies shields
Ammo 2 is a standard grenade against not fully shielded enemies
Ammo 3 are mines to hinder an advancing or assaulting enemy. When hitting the ground they throw out a liquid in one meter diameter that reacts when an enemy is stepping on it. I suppose explosives in the future are powerful enough to be even in this small sizes effective.
Ammo 4 is a classical armour- and bunkerpiercing Krak-missile
http://www.kriegsherren-von-og.de/diverses/anwendung.jpg
As I said I got carried away :D.
