Hi. First of all, I'd like to write a disclaimer: I'm 16, and an amateur artist, so please don't stomp me into the ground just yet. Thanks.

Now here's a little self-portrait.

And some random sketches.

Hey, nice to see another 16 year old amateur (Yeah...).

This stuff is really nice, especialy the second pic. I think you have a exellent handle on human anatomy, plus those poses are solid and look real. The only thing I'd recomend that you do is to work a bit on your faces, but this stuff is good. Keep posting!

Thanks. The only references I used were my reflection in the window and what I could remember from Jet Li movies.

I like the stuff, and it seems like you know the upper part of the body extremely well. I'm starting with the lower half and working my way up. I'd like to see some legs :P

Nice work, man. You're extremely good, and you could probably kick my ass in a drawing competition, but there's always room for improvement.

(I'm 15, by the way :) Go young artists!)

yeah cool jets man.....i say it looks like you have the same things to work on as me......and thats the process not the final image......its always good to try the smaller things first and not to go for it all......theres some good artist anatomy books out there, i reccomend you look for some, and tighten your drawing skills to doing parts of the body untill you know it like the back of your hand.....which i still got like a 6 months before im there.....but cool stuff:chug:

Hey thanks man. I hear ya about the anatomy stuff. These are some of my cleaner sketches, which is why I chose to post them here. Most of the time, I'm just drawing random stuff, body parts, the junk on my desk. If I had the money I'd get some real anatomy books, but since I'm short in the finances department, I have to settle for alternative means to get anatomy, and I usually do that by just looking at people. People around school, at the mall, the beach, wherever.

Oh and here's an example of the doodles I usually do. You can probably see why I chose to post the pictures I did. They're more... visually appealing. They're just cleaner and I paid more attention to detail or the anatomy and stuff.

EDIT Oh by the way, that hand holding the pencil was freaking hard to draw. I was drawing the hand that was drawing... I wanted to draw that one drawing the drawing hand and so on but got lazy.
