Main points that should be worked on for improvement: Depth, form, and lighting. For depth, try putting the focal point on you subject by leaving things in the background less detailed and less defined (even in color). For form and lighting (tones), which go hand in hand, create a single dominent light source and apply shadows, which also will define depth. All of these things tie into each other and compliment each other. I also strongly recommend getting your paws on as many anatomy for artists books as possible to help with you characters/ figures.

Thanks for the critique. I do need to work on all of this. I have the Loomis book on anatomy and I've been working on it, but still have a ways to go. Lighting is another challenge, but one I'm having fun with. Thank you for the tip on that, I'll try to remember that when I approach stuff in the future.
