I've been on a chalk pastel rampage as of late and figured I'd post them somewhere.

Those landscapes are gorgeous. More like skyscapes, really.

Larriva Art- Yeah, I tend to lean more towards doing bigger skies.
Lord M- Thanks

Here's a few more.

Wow, I really like how the pastels are handled, not smudged or over-blended, but with an abundance of broken color.

What brand(s) of pastels and supports do you use?

Marcus Scipio- Thanks. Most of these were done with a mix of cheapo michaels brand chalk pastels. There's a mix of some Unison pastels in these. I recently bought some Terry Ludwig pastels which are some of the best chunks of color I've ever used. Price wise it kind of sucks, but it's like drawing with butter.

Some more. I'm getting kind of bored of skies. What can I do to make them more interesting? Or is it time for something new? Maybe they need more atmospheric depth? Pinks, blues, purples, yellows, gray?

Doing atmospheric depth might help, or you could just switch subject matter.

Maybe doing a sunset over an ocean would be more complex? Trying to get the light reflections and stuff.

Nice work. I like the stylized aspect. c:
