I want to do computer animation and I got into Art at USC and CA at Ringling. I am having a lot of trouble deciding where to go.

Here's the things I like about each, some are little things, some are big things.

USC:
-I'm a finalist for a full tution scholarship, I don't know if I'll get it, but the Art dept. said they really want me.
-Great campus life
-In L.A.
-Decent animation, good art (so I hear)
-Can take other classes - and I think that taking classes in other subjects always helps make art better
-Close to beach and mountains
-More varied food
-Not all artists

Ringling
-Good animation
-Good animation
-Warm water at the beach
-I have friends there (from PreCollege)
-All artists

I'm not looking for someone to decide for me, I was just wondering if anyone would share any insight they have about these schools, whether they've attended or know what kinds of jobs people get coming out of there or anything else. Anything would be helpful.

Thanks in advance. :)

can't tell you much about ringling, but i can tell you a litle about sarasota...

also jason manley can be quoted as saying "it's the best school for CA in the US." ...something to that effect. and on another side note, android went there for CA, manley was there for illustration and puddnhead went there for fine arts. look at them now.

also i don't think it matters which school you attend just how much blood sweat and tears you are willing to sacrifice to get to where you want to be. make sense? you gotta give it 110% and then some.

also also, check out this link: http://www.rhythm.com/inside_randh/opportunities_scholarships_winners.shtml winners from the rhythm & hues scholarships. ringling seems to be the big winner there :)

Well.I don't know much about this two school and I live about 10 minutes from USC. But I do have to say myabe its ny own ignorance but I've never met a great animator/artist that came out of USC. I think its a medical school isn't or business one of the two.My suggestion find a school that is cater towards what you're interested in. When you get there work your ass off and sorund yourself with people that have same drive.
