I did this one for the speed painting thread, but it ended more as a more finished thing for me and more as a character concept than a painting ..... so i hope i am allowed but i want to show it here too .... because i would gladly havd criticism and comments on it, especially on the concept part and the color choices, etc ...

i wanted him to have some 70s look, especially with the clothes ... like in the old cheesy sci fi movies or tv shows (star trek, logan's run ....)

tell me what you think.

I know that your obviously not going for the most realistic character, but the face just seems really odd..
Well, cool work nonetheless.

thanxs for the comment
for the face its the mouth that is really weird, i tried to have some "jokerish" or animal aspect with a very large mouth, but i think its a bit too much :))

I was just thinking " It's the mouth." when I read your reply. There's three things that seem to have happened whn you painted it: you lost the sharpness of his features, his mouth changed to a grimace and his fist shrunk (I'm a biased big hand fan though). Other than that I think you nailed the seventies attire pretty well and I like the linework.
