"An eeeeevil druid?"

I like the overall design. I think it could definately use a little cleaning up though. It looks a very sketchy right now, and I'm not sure I'm digging the deep shadows in the cowl of his neck/shoulder armor. It seems to make his head float detached from his body.

Also, I'm not sure what's up with that circle at the connection of his arm to his body...was that just a guide for the drawing or is it supposed to represent some sort of strap for the shoulder gear? If the former, get rid of it, it breaks up the flow of the pectoral muscles attaching to the shoulder. If it's the latter, make it wider or more obvious that it's a strap and not just an odd piece of string.

Also, while I love the badger and the weasel/ferret, I think the owls a bit too stylish for the rest of the drawing. I like it on its own, but it seems to clash with the more realistic style of the rest of the picture.

I'd definately like to see this cleaned up and colored.

Hey, Fukifino....thanks for the feedback.

The reason for the lineweight on that circle is to indicate where the chest piece of his armor ends. His armor is similar in design to a Roman centurion armour where muscles (and nipples) are indicated by bumps and creases.

Re: owl....Yeah, I was afraid this would stand out as I was drawing it. My owl refs were missing so I had to make one up. Looks like a possessed Tweety Bird, now that I look back at it :D

If I manage to get a colored version of this, I'd update this thread for sure.

Aaaah, that's armor! I get it now...then might I suggest maybe adding another circle offset from it to suggest a thickness? or maybe a slightly different (cleaner?) rendering of it..anything to indicate it's not his ripped chest. ;)

And LOL at the tweety bird comment. Now that you mention it, it reminds me of that episode where tweety drinks Dr. Jeckles formula and turns into neander-tweety. Haha, good stuff.
