There are some fantastic entries in the Last Teen Standing. I wanted to let those of you know who are currently participating that TAD will be awarding scholarships to the top winners. Upon the completion of this contest and it's final round the TAD scholarship committee will meet and review the work and determine the size of the award. The top participants from all rounds will be considered for the available scholarships and opportunities to attend www.theartdepartment.org and the stellar 30 month program here.

I am also happy to offer all last round participants to select their choice of two videos from my own downloads. The top winner get's my streaming classes and all of my downloads too.

Keep up the great work!!

Wait WHHAAAAAT!!? 0____0

I had to read over this a couple times to let it sink in. Scholarships to the finalists and possible scholarships to the winners of all rounds plus the downloads. I’m actually shaking a little bit. I can't tell you how much I want to do good in this challenge.

Holy ****cakes, batman! Daaarn, if I knew this was part of the prize I would've skipped work all that week and just drawn instead of starting on the last day!
Oh well, as it stands now I'm out of the competition, but oh well.

Really good luck to the rest of ya! :)

Jason. Thank you so much for doing this, one heck of a surprise to get first thing in the morning. I had no idea the prizes would get this huge. I can't express my gratitude, thank you very much :)

A couple of questions, crap I don't think my brain can handle so much good information.
"The top participants from all rounds will be considered for the available scholarships" Does this mean that from every round I.e round 1, round 2, final round, the enterants with the top votes could be chosen?

and "I am also happy to offer all last round participants to select their choice of two videos from my own downloads"
What do you mean by your own downloads? Sorry just a bit confused.

Again thank you for the amazing prizes :D

HAHAHA. and why wasn't this announced BEFORE the first deadline had already passed ?
I would've set all my time aside for this if that would've been the case.

AAAh. This just made me want to die a couple of times. Call it a bad attitude but if i had known this i would have pushed through aaah. Eventhough i was really feverish and busy with school. Anyways this is a lovely opportunity for those of you who are still in and its wonderfull that something like this is offered. It will surerly push the quality of this competition to a new level. I just feel soooooooooooo shit this wasn't known before and i am sure many of us will but AAAAAH. I would have worked the entire night for this. snif.

oh...my...god...$_$ holy shit thats amazing! thank you so much jason! this competition just got hot(ter)!

but i just want to clarify some things. i just started college. im about a month in and im planning to finish out the whole 4 years and because of that i havent really loooked into TAD all that much. i know there are online courses and everything, but im wondering just how much work there is. not that im being lazy about it (oh god no!), its just that im already a full-time student with 18 hours of practice for sports on top of that. add to that me doing art on my own time, out-of-state competitions and sleep and im kinda swamped. so if i DID step up and get a scholarship, id probably have to turn it down :(...unless its an open scholarship and we could use it for another school? could you let me know? i appreciate it, man. and again, this is ridiculous awesome of you. thanks dude!

Don't you think that it would be better to get some judges for upcoming rounds? Because now, once prizes are that big and everyone can vote, voting will become less objective. It's possible (I hope it will not happen) that it will become a contest where "one which has most friends wins".
