Hi,

I'm new here, and I think this community is awesome... I've been a lurker for some time now and I thought I'd start posting for once. I'm in grade 10 and I'm pretty lost as to what I want to do when I grow up. I have a 3.91 gpa, and I know I could be a doctor or something if I wanted to, but that just seems way too booooring to me. I want to do something for a living that I'll actually look forward to doing. We've all got but one life, why waste a big portion of our life at work doing soemthing we don't like to do. Anyways, I really like art, but never gotten too serious about it til this year. I've just recently decided I'd get serious with art, and I can't do it alone so I'm gonna hang out here. The only thing remainging is what type of field in "art" do I want to go into. I'm more pointing towards the direction of 3d animation, but you never know, I've got some experimenting to do. All I know is that drawing wil provide a base for any type of field I want to go into. Well...

if this is just pencils, make sure you get a few different ones (hard/soft) so you can work on the value. for now just sharpen it (the pencil) a whole lot. keep drawing from life, you'll see yourself improve tons in short periods of time.

I know what you're talking about... I really need some art pencils. Right now, I just use a regular yellow school pencil. :(

I am a 10th grader as well, and i know how you feel. My gpa is really bad because i dont apply myself for crap, though, and i know art is what i want to do with my life. I guess just for kicks i'll post a drawing here. <br>
