Well, I've been trying to improve my photoshop abilities, and for practice i took an old pic of mine and messed around with it. Heres the WIP of it, advice on what the background should be and stuff appreciated.

Not sure if you have a consistant light source.
The darker shade on her chest doesn't fit with the shadows under her chin, hair etc. These shadows are all created from the light source being above, so her chest wouldn't be in any shadow.

Just keep working the image.

her right hand seems a bit small, is the light source comming from top and center?
