I'm taking this pic to fullcolour but I'd like some opinions on the lineart first. It's jungle soldiers in a not too distant future. The background, and the back soldiers is supposed to be very saturated, leaving room for the front guy that'll be coloured in full.

i dont mean to rag on you, but either you hsould name it vietnam 2010 or perhaps re draw the picture, considering the current pace of technological advancements the soldier in 40 years will be much more futuristic looking than peraps protrayed in you illustration, other than that its awsome ;)

I think his legs are too short. They make him look a bit childish.
and Kalash, if there was a war in the future in 40 years, and we had to mass produce a certain type of weapon/uniform and such, do you think we could honestly afford cyber troopers with jet packs and missle lazers... or a uniform, 2 guns, an army knife, and a surivial kit? I vote for the second idea and i think he did a very good idea with that concept.

yes in fact i do, this is why the army is spending bilions upon bilions of tax payers money in order to accomodate its vast resharch and equipment, this is why we use stealth bombers the abrams m1 tank and other such great advents of modern technology.

Thank you thank you :)
I've tried to keep it kinda low-tech and use some technologial solutions like the "mission data book" he's looking at, probably linked to a satellite tranfering the exact data of the enemy to the soldiers.
The guy in front also wears some kind of hi-tech glasses, somewhat like the fighter pilots are using (maybe still in progresss) where all the info they need is projected inside the helmet.
I'll start colour it asap, but I don't have access to my computer right now (or really my apartment as the landlord have turned it into a construction site :() But I'll post again when it got some colour on it :D
