This was an assignment for my government class. It was pretty rushed and i'm not sure how much it resembles bush, but not a bad illustration, all in all. Acrylic wash on matboard, I used a photo reference and looked at Daniel Adel's (http://www.danieladel.com) charicature work for some ideas.

I notice your in Florida. You don't by chance go to Ringling do you? If so which teacher gave you this assignment? Just curious.

this looks good. i can see the daniel adel influence. it is always great to learn from the masters and he sure knows what he is doing.

compositionally i think you could make some changes that would help give it more impact. right now he is talking to the side of the page instead of us or a perceived audience. while this might fit for bush it does not make for a strong composition.

love to see what you do with more time.

BAH! politics! You really need to have bush facing those ppl. He is right on the edge of the page leading your attention straight off of the piece.

As far as Bush is concerned, he always needs to be facing blindly to the right.

Clinton only "cleaned his clocks" on economy because of Reagan. Clinton did nothing to aide the economy but balance the already booming economy. The peace thing? Nothing happend and that's that. Do you think Clinton did anything to stop war? Honestly I think you need to research topics before you blindly throw stupid retorts in. Morally and politcally, Bush has been far superior. That is not to say he has the been the greatest president we've had, he's far from that, but from now on how about learning about what you talk about.

Oh, and it's a good picture, but like most others have said, the composition just makes us look off to the right. The picture needs better balance.
Oh, and one more politcal thing. Do you understand why he chose the gay marriage topic to debate on? He is running for re-election this term and he understands that the majority of voters are agaisnt gay marraiges, while there is a small minority who of course want them. He is trying to please the majority, so he can run another term. ANY, I repeat, ANY politcian does this. Clinton, Bush, anyone who is running for any office will try and please the majority because the majority is what gets you into office.
