First, I am not certain if it is completely ok to start a new thread, but clearly the last one outdated it's deadline and as far as this thread (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=65648&page=10) says it is accaptable for users to start C.O.W. round. If not feel free to ignore it.



Now to the creature.
Ancient species living at the savage land once were peacefully wondering the jungle and feeding on leaves and branches of the trees, digesting organic flora. This was until men reached their natural inhabitance. At first createres were indiferent to new strange guests, but men tried to hunt it down for sport interest of their sword mastery. At the moment once peaceful herbivore tasted metal, it became mad and corrupted, infested with the same sport interest but now for the swords itselves. Since they are harder then natural food, Swordthief can wield one for a hell lot of time without completely eating it away.

Design a creature as a pale ressemblence of once peaceful, but now corrupted and mad herbivore, wielding several swords at once. It is more then welcome if you can somehow to deliver the atmosphere of human mistake in this creature.

I'm cool with starting an unofficial round but I don't think it should be called cow 187. Maybe call it special round or something. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with lancer idenoure. Also I think the last CoW may have been altered to a two week deadline. There was some conversation about it but I think the actual date deadline on the first page was never changed. Scorge did put a question mark next to the deadline indicating this. This topic is too specific. Has to be a bit more wide open and not adhering to a preconceived story.

I think scorge did change the date. It was definately 2 weeks since he put up the topic to the due date (the 31st) he either forgot the due date or is just slackin a bit. Its cool, I'll just wait it out.

i understand why u started this thread. it sucks if u have deadlines and then it takes several more days until the new topic goes on. (doesn´t affect me since i didn´t take part this round) but on the other hand i respect if scorge has health issues, work to do, private live and so on. anyways he´s the COW-leader so one expects that he runs these threads and nearly every round takes some extra days before the next one goes live...

Just a thought, but in the past, when CoW's have taken awhile to get posted I'll sometimes go back and do one from a previous week that I've missed. There's 186 potential creatures to work on. Don't have to take too terribly long on it. It might just be a sketch. Keeps you sharp and passes the time until the next one comes up and hell if you keep at it you might have close to 200 creature designs under your belt one day.
