Think I may have been concentrating more on trying a different technique than the topic - my rider seems to be more Master Chief than Mongolian.

Geez, the first guy up to the plate bats it completely out of the park! Sweet picture Gouda Boy! It would be nice to see more detail/accuracy on the bike (at least as much as in the rifle) though.

Kurdt: Incredible.
I'm really pissed about this, I drew an hours worth of prettu good sketches, and my math teacher freaked out and confiscated them. Of course I was doing them in class, but that's besides the point.

Well I tried to draw a real mongolian and a real horse but that was really awful so instead I drew a little mecha. I know it has weird proportions and the horse legs are those of a plantigrade, but hey it's a mecha). Inked and colored (very quickly) in Photoshop CS.

Lots of great pictures, today!
@Mr.Man: really good for something done in 15min with a mouse!
@village idiot: bold color scheme and great dynamism. My favorite so far.

Well, its not a great idea to drink a few margaritas, watch "2001: A Space Odessy", then attempt to draw ANYTHING...
This is my 15 minute doodle on the back of a messy piece of paper. I will be sober by morning, I swear.
It does show, but no reference used.

...As Usual.
Well... I actually took the "modern day" to heart, and drew a modern Mongolian rider (although I chose a camel as steed).
This is directly from a photo reference... except my composition isn't as good. :P
