nice nice nice, mega man 2 is my favorite game ever. The drawings don't seem to match up in all areas though...certain parts seem like they are a different design? i really like it though, inspiring, and a fresh direction.

Nice concept, but the character looks really flat and there are lots of gaps in anatomy, and a general lack of structure in places. (Basically, it looks like you learned anatomy a little, but didn't learn how to connect the pieces in order to make them read well.) The figure on the left is also poorly balanced and looks like it's going to topple over backwards. The right figure looks sort of okay, except for the belt, the hand, and the head.


I'm currently ironing out a lot of similar problems in my work, so don't be discouraged. :)

I'd suggest you work hard on learning to draw well before you worry about that. Coloring is essentially icing on the cake; if the cake sags or falls apart out of the oven, it won't matter how much frosting your lump on it. Besides, you can always learn coloring later on...it's better that you concentrate on learning how to draw well first. Reason being is that if you've learned how to color on top of flawed drawings with gaps in anatomy, rhythym, design, etc., then you'll basically have to re-learn coloring all over again from scratch when you finally do learn how to draw really well, only now you'll have to contend with a lot of bad habits.

That said, spend some time in the tutorials forum and don't be afraid to ask questions. You'll get some great advice.

yeah I've seen that badassed drawing before. Its part of what made me wanna redraw mega man.
